Loved this place overall !! The atmosphere as well as staff were so kind and attentive. My girlfriend and I decided to come stop by for a quick lunch stop to treat ourselves out, this place did not disappoint! I've heard so many good things and I won't lie this exceeded my expectations. The sushi sashimi platter was delicious and super buttery, the spicy crunchy garlic roll was also one of our favorite things there, the incorporation of the crunch and little hint of spiciness was good. Only thing that was a miss for us were the soba noodles, a little too bland and the price we had to pay for it wasn't worth it. But all in all sushi was delicious and servers were very attentive and welcoming :)

OmeeJ's is the best sushi in the South Bay. Hands down. No questions asked. I tell everyone to come here and all who do love their experience. Every person I've brought who isn't sure if they are a sushi person leaves with a new found love and appreciation. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. The sushi is top quality and the rolls are absolutely delicious. We have so many favorites that it is hard to pick which ones to order. Today we ordered the Big Daddy, My Roll M, Cabo Mark and the Albacore Nigiri w/no mint. Absolutely amazing - forever coming back!

I love sushi. It is my absolute favorite type of food. This is now my new favorite spot! I feel like its hard to find a realllly good sushi spot in this area. The fish is fresh! The sauces are good and not basic or typical! The presentation is as amazing as the taste! I am so in love !!!! I ordered : -the orange miso salmon which was very delightful! - Salmon lemon dill nigiri was different tasty as well -Tuna yuzi wasabi was good too but not really my type of sauce - crispy rice tuna was my favorite... I have been searching for this for the longest time ever! I've had this dish at other places in this area but it was never good. The rice has the perfect crisp!

No idea how I've never been here before but finally made it with a group and got to sample a ton of items. First impression: it's nicer (and bigger) on the inside than you would expect from the strip mall. Overall assessment: the fish is fresh, the food is flavorful, the portions are good size, and (as many reviewers have commented) the prices are higher than most other places. On to the food... Crispy sushi rice: spicy tuna in fried rice with sweet potato crunch. Doesn't seem like much but it was oddly addictive. Yellowtail (hamachi) carpaccio: we had it two ways, with garlic and with jalapeño. Both were excellent but maybe a slight preference to the garlic version. Orange ball roll: orange form the salmon of course but slices of oranges and covered with chopped spicy salmon. Orangey goodness l. Heart of fire roll: tuna and baked eel. I really liked it but one of my dining companions found it too oniony. Rainbow roll: fine but only ok. Probably wouldn't get it again. Sweet and spicy roll: another one that divided the table. Some loved the crunch from the macadamia nuts and sweet potato crunch. I thought there was too much sauce. Halibut and cuttlefish fish: incredibly fresh and tender. If you want to try something a little unusual, go for the cuttlefish. The place seemed to be filled with regulars. There was a line on a Sunday night and it's unclear whether they take reservations. All the servers we interacted with were friendly. It took too long before we tried Omee.J but we'll make sure it's not too long before we go back.

I enjoyed our experience at Omee.J overall. They had good service, and the food was pretty good! We ordered 6 rolls. All were packed with flavor. Our faves were the Josee and Cabo Mark. Would pass on the chicken karaage. Overall, would return if I was in the area but probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

I was in charge of organizing a retirement lunch for my coworker. I chose Omee.J because it had a clean and nice interior. Most importantly, it looked big enough to accommodate a large group! I called the week before to make a reservation. They called the day before to confirm, and were super accommodating when I had to add more people to the group. In total, I had a group of 21 people! To make things easier, I compiled a list of most people's orders beforehand. We got there a bit late, but luckily it wasn't super busy so we had no issues. Tae was incredible and super helpful. She made the experience so effortless. All the rolls came out fast, and everyone got what they ordered without issue. She knew what rolls were which, and that made it easy to distribute everything to their proper owners. The sushi was really tasty. My favorite was the Orange Ball and Lion King! Everyone had a lovely time. :) Thank you for everything Tae! 감사합니다

We had dinner at OMEE J on a Thursday night & were pleasantly surprised that it was not very busy at all. After reading all the reviews we were expecting it to be packed, but that probably is true for weekends. Like others have said, you have to really look out for this restaurant or else it is easy to miss. It is in the middle of a strip mall, adjacent to a Indian Grocery store and close to several car dealerships on Stevens Creek, but the inside is sleek and modern. We started off with the Spicy Garlic Edamame which were very tasty. The sweet and spicy sauce the edamame were swimming in was really delicious. We ordered the Orange Ball, Sweet and Spicy, Big Daddy & the Bay Love. It was our first time trying a baked sushi roll, but the Bay Love was a great choice and we would definitely order it again. The Orange Ball was beautifully presented, but it is strictly for salmon lovers and maybe one dimensional in terms of flavor. Even though it was tasty, it the sushi roll that wowed us the least of the ones we ordered. The Sweet and Spicy Roll (this was our favorite roll) & the Big Daddy were absolutely delicious. Great shrimp tempura in the Big Daddy Roll and both rolls had great texture with the sweet potato crunch, macadamia nuts and a balance of flavor with their respective sweet & spicy sauces. Definitely recommend these two rolls. Their prices are definitely on the high side for sushi, but we enjoyed our meal. One additional comment we have is that the menus are all digital and with the dim lighting of the restaurant it is really difficult to see the details of each sushi roll as you are trying to scan through their menu on your phone. I think having some hard copy menus on hand would be a good thing for some customers!

I have been craving sushi for a while now. My husband found this place and we came here with our toddler for lunch. They open at 11:30am. Located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. The place is clean with nice modern dark decor. We were given a table for 4 and was offered a highchair instantly which was very much appreciated. QR code for menu but you order with one of the waitresses. 3 rolls - one baked + a plain udon. I am definitely not an omakase or raw fish snob. I was very pleased with the sushi. My toddler enjoyed her udon. Men and women bathroom in the back. No stalls just one room - clean. Would come back. It is a bit on the pricey side.
